Our Founder
Inspired by her own passion for natural beauty, fashion, skincare and cosmetics, our founder Ms. Promodya Premadasa started her journey in science by obtaining her Bachelor of Science (First Class Hons.) in Biomedical Science from the University of Northumbria (UK). With this backing she expanded her research capabilities at the Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC). With her expanded knowledge and experience in chemistry and biomedical science, Ruk Cosmetics was founded in 2022 with the slogan "backed by science" as she believes that cosmetics should be manufactured with proper scientific research to back the ingredients and formulations to truly give the benifits that our clients expect from our products. Ms. Premadasa is also a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (USA) and the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (UK). With her guidance and leadership we strive to provide you with truly effective cosmetic and skincare solutions.
